Pinterest and You

pinterest, social media, pinterest boards, using pinterest, Pinterest is a photo-sharing, pinboard website where people can create boards featuring photos and images based on any number of interests. I set up my Pinterest boards a few months ago. You can find them here at Diana Castle Pinterest Boards

However, I have to admit, I’ve not been a major user of Pinterest. I only found out about it last year, but I’ve been hearing more and more about how fun and useful it is.

Not only is Pinterest a great source of inspiration and sources of images for whatever research you’re doing or creating project you’re working on, it’s proving extremely useful for businesspeople, authors, photographers, etc. in promoting their businesses, causes, creative projects and/or interests.

If you’re new to Pinterest, meaning you don’t have an account set-up there, this article at WikiHow can help you use Pinterest if you’re a first-time user.

There’s even a board over at Pinterest with suggestions on great ways to use Pinterest.

This article, 10 Tips for Using Pinterest Well, provides some suggestions on how to use Pinterest.

And this article can help you find the original source of any image you’ve pinned to Pinterest.

I’ve not made extensive use of Pinterest so far, as either a producer or consumer of the boards, but over the coming months I plan to, and I’ll be happy to share my experiences with you as I do.

If you’re a user of Pinterest, I’d be happy to hear about your experiences and please, definitely, provide a link to any boards you have up.

Happy Pinning!

  1. I don’t need the additional time suck at this point so I haven’t signed up. And after the copyright issue (mostly resolved now I think) I wasn’t in a rush to jump on board anyway. However, I’ve seen some amazing boards and ideas posted via Facebook. Have fun 🙂

  2. That’s one of the reasons I put up the article about finding the original source of a photograph. It could help with copyright issues. I try to be careful about what I pin and prefer to pin from sites where they’ve obviously more conducive to people pinning their stuff as they have a Pin It button on their site or photos that are in the public domain. 🙂

  3. Hello, i feel that i noticed you visited my website

finding issues to improve my web site!I guess its ok to use a few of
    your ideas!!
