After two days of rain and thunder and lightning, which pretty much kept me from my morning walks, I walked this lovely Sunday morning. Not only had the last couple of days been cloudy and rainy but also very muggy. Dew points were in the 60’s. But today it’s sunny and a lot drier. The air has that crisp fall feel again. Speaking of fall, the leaves are falling really fast! Those tiny yellow-gold leaves have carpeted the sidewalks, and I wind up unwillingly tracking them inside.
Saw Gus this morning. He actually let me pet him this time, but because I did not want to impose on his dignity, I did so with restraint. He seemed pleased with that. 🙂
I still haven’t heard about that temporary assignment so, unless I didn’t get it or they want me to start this week or next, I’ll just keep to my regularly scheduled morning walks. One way or the other, I’m going to have to change my walking schedule. I want to stop working evenings and work part-time during the day instead, preferably in the mornings.
But, that’s all conjecture and speculation. I have no idea, to be honest, what I’m going to be doing in the next few months. That’s why I just take it day by day.
